On behalf of the governors and staff, we are delighted that your child has been offered a place at St Michael’s C of E High School. We are thrilled to welcome you to our school community and are excited to help you grow and thrive in the years to come. 

We understand that this is an exciting time for both you and your child, and we are committed to ensuring that their transition into Year 7 is well-supported and enjoyable. Please find below some important transition dates for your diary. 

Year 7 Transition Evening: 

This will be held on Monday 17th June at 5:30pm. This is an opportunity for parents/carers and students to meet key staff in school and learn more about what it means to be part of the St. Michael’s family.  

Year 7 Transition Days: 

A smaller transition day will take place on Wednesday 26th June from 9am-3pm. This day is aimed at students who may not know anyone else as they are coming by themselves from their primary school. This day is by invite only - further information will follow closer to the time.

Our main transition days will take place on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June from 9am to 3pm. Students will have the chance to meet their form tutor, learn about what it’s like to be a St Michael’s student, and tour the school. You will also be taking part in some subject workshops.  

Support for Children with additional needs: 

On Thursday 27th June we will hold additional sessions for parents and carers who would like to know more about how we support children with learning, medical, emotional and/or behavioural needs. This session will run from 2pm – 3pm. More information will be sent out closer to the date.
